Do Faucet Water Filters Really Work?
The filter may be Mini, but it's a Big Purifier™ with a stout 1 micron absolute carbon block with Lead Specific Media that removes up to 99%* lead, cryptosporidium and giardia cysts, dirt and rust, chemicals like chlorine, herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, and THMs that create foul tastes and odors in your tap water. Dissolved solids like calcium and magnesium minerals (TDS) are not removed. For municipal water systems using chloramines, use Mini model 1CCB.

This mini filter was easy to install (even for a non-tech person in her 70s) and has worked beautifully for 2 months.
I have no complaints except that I wish Amazon had displayed it to me as an option when I searched online.
Be careful when buying your filter...know what you are trying to filter out, and make sure you get the right model. There are several choices.
My only criticism is that there were no instructions with the product, but honestly, it took less than 5 minutes for me to install it on my bathroom sink so it really wasn't that necessary. It took a few attempts messing with the washers to get the water flow perfect, but I was blown away at the difference. The ability to switch between filtered and unfiltered is really helpful and seamless. Also, our apartment has really bad water so we've had to get filters for each faucet & shower head. And of course, by hooking up a filter you're going to lose some water pressure but the pressure loss with this filter is the least that I've seen with any of the products we've used, including some of the more professional under-the-sink units. Plus the fact that you can filter hot and cold water is a plus. That was the reason I ordered it in the first place because I was noticing skin irritation from washing our face and hands with the water, so being able to use it for more than just drinking water is a plus. Plus the fact that it lasts over a YEAR makes it cheaper in the long run than any of the Brita or PUR filters.
