IMPORTANT NOTE: Some companies selling fluoride removal filters use a 5000ppm figure to indicate the filter life. In real world conditions this equals about 300 gallons. The longer life they imply with the 5000ppm figure can only be achieved in laboratory conditions, not on a municipal tap water or hard well water which contains other substances such as calcium which are also filtered out by the media removing the fluoride.

Simple and effective counter top water filtration

I've had this water system for about a year and it has worked great. Easy installation and the water definitely tastes cleaner. Where I live the tap water smells and tastes heavily chlorinated. In using the Home Master System to filter the water I can smell and taste the difference, no chlorine. Replacing the filter came with slight difficulty in that it took some effort to unscrew the cap from the bottom stand. However to me this means there is a good seal. I have never had any issue with leaks.

Great Non Tasting Water

This filter works great to give you water that is overdosed with chemicals and especially fluoride. Your water will no longer have a taste that shouldn't be there. Very easy to install. Depending on how much water you run through the filter will determine when the cartridge needs to be replaced. You will definitely know by the taste of your water. I recommend this filter for home use.

Although I've only been using it for 1 day, I'm pleased so far. It fit into my 10" housing perfectly. The first few liters of water that came out were gross, but it cleared up.

I have this on my refrigerator water line and I'm pleased with the water coming out. The built-in fridge filters were expensive and not very effective. This gets the water taste about as good as you can get in a single housing filter. Very clean and neutral tasting, but retaining the natural minerals. It's a good alternative to a full RO setup for those with otherwise decent quality tap water.

water filter has been working great

After we were able to unscrew the Home Master (and boy, was it on there good- we needed large pliers to get it opened), this water filter has been working great. Normally an arrow means to point it up, but in this case, the arrow goes towards the outlet (so pointing down). It is on the directions, so I shouldn't be an issue installing this if you read them. Hopefully not all of the purifiers are as hard to open as ours was.
