Home Master Ultra uses six stages of filtration, purification and sterilization to produce exceptionally clean water. It uses sediment, iron, and carbon filtration, and reverse osmosis purification to remove up to 99% of chlorine, iron, chemicals, heavy metals, fluoride, dissolved solids, pharmaceuticals, microplastics, and thousands of other contaminants. Also, the type of dissolved iron commonly found in well water will destroy the reverse osmosis membrane without the IRON pre-filter protecting it. The Home Master’s superior Iron pre-filter, which contains an advanced redox media KDF85 acts as a catalyst to help remove dissolved iron from the water. The UV sterilization chamber is always on guard and safely destroys 99.99% of germs, viruses, bacteria, and other microorganisms without dispensing hot water at the faucet.

This all results in exceptionally pure, safe, great-tasting water. Many tankless RO systems use imported ‘loose’ style membranes which can only achieve up to 94% reduction in total dissolved solids including heavy metals. Those membranes are intentionally loosely wound to allow for more flow, sacrificing purity to compensate for not having a storage tank. Home Master uses only the highest quality American made Dow membranes which can achieve up to 98% reduction in total dissolved solids including heavy metals. Additionally, all Home Master RO systems use powerful catalytic carbon filtration media in the carbon prefilter to treat the very persistent chemical disinfectant chloramine. Some cannister and tankless RO systems fail to use a dedicated sediment pre-filter filter or use carbon block which can slow membrane production and increase waste, or increase maintenance requirements. The most significant problem associated with traditional RO systems is the ‘canister filter housing’ design, where only the filters are changed, and not the filter housings. Sediment, microorganisms and biofilm can accumulate in the canisters and, over time, the canisters will weaken, begin to leak and ultimately fail. This can potentially lead to serious water damage and costly home repairs.

Some tankless RO systems employ a solid manifold design that is impractical to upgrade or service. UV light is more effective than chlorine in eliminating viruses – all without using harmful chemicals that change the chemistry of the water. As the water enters the ultraviolet sterilization chamber, it’s bombarded with an intense light wave (254 um). This light penetrates the cell walls of living microorganisms, attacking their DNA structure, leaving the organisms dead or unable to reproduce. The EPA has recognized UV technology as one of the four approved water sterilization methods, and is actually the #1 preferred method due to its instantaneous results. The Home Master Fast Flow RO! kit and optional non-electric permeate pump upgrade solve several problems commonly found in other RO systems: TDS Creep, slow flow rate, and poor water waste. To further improve system efficiency, Home Master offers a Permeate Pump upgrade on all RO systems. We increase efficiency by regulating the flow of water on both sides of the system – feed water and permeate water.
